Art Students League of New York Hosts Veteran Artist Network Symposium

The Art Students League of New York is hosting its Virtual National Military Veteran Artist Network Symposium, with sessions scheduled on January 20, February 18, and March 18, 2026, at the Phyllis Harriman Mason Gallery.
The symposium program includes an overview of the Artist Fellowship Program at the National Veterans Art Museum, studio visits with working veteran artists, and a session on how to navigate education benefits available to veterans pursuing art education.
Featured programming includes a studio visit with Amanda Raquel Dorval, a New York-based veteran artist; a studio visit and professional topics session with Steve Rands, a metal sculptor and fabricator based in Lawrence, Kansas; and a presentation on how to become a medical illustrator.
The events are part of the League’s ongoing outreach to veteran artists seeking professional development opportunities within a fine art context.
