The solo exhibition of 2025 NVAM Artist Fellow Jenn Hassin closes at the National Veterans Art Museum on June 13, 2026, with a closing reception at 2:00 p.m. at 4041 N. Milwaukee Avenue, Chicago.
The exhibition spans a decade of Hassin’s work and includes 27 mixed media pieces including ceramics. According to artbeatbuzz.com, it is “a very personal visual journey that traces suffering, memory and resilience through the transformation of material.”
Hassin is a U.S. Air Force veteran. She earned her BA in Studio Art from Saint Edward’s University in 2012 and her MFA from Columbia University in 2021 with a focus on social practice and installation.
Her work has been exhibited at the Pentagon (via a Smithsonian-curated installation), The Contemporary Austin, Blue Star Contemporary, Affirmation Arts, Ivester Contemporary, grayDUCK, and the Lenfest Center for the Arts. In 2020, she was featured as the Veterans Day Google Doodle. Her work has been covered by CBS Morning News, NPR, Glasstire, and Art News.
NVAM is located at 4041 N. Milwaukee Avenue, 2nd Floor, Chicago. Admission to the museum is free.
